Cassidy Recycles!

Friday is collection day at Cassidy. A team of 5th graders collects the recycling bins in each classroom, workroom, and office on Friday morning. Teachers and students collect paper, cardboard, metal cans and plastic bottles throughout the week in blue trash cans labeled "recycling." On Friday mornings, the recycling team empties the trash into large recycling bins, which are picked up by the LFUCG on Mondays. 

Cassidy Colts are filling up between two and five Big Blue Easy recycling containers each week. This helps save our earth's natural resources and reduces landfill space. Recycling a stack of newspaper that is three feet tall is equivalent to saving a tree.!
