Cassidy School continues the tradition of academic excellence. Our mission is "Every child a proficient learner and good citizen." This mission becomes reality through the teamwork of parents, community members, and staff working together to make a difference for our children.

 

Every decision we make is based on what is best for our students. We know we are here to help our students meet our high academic expectations while at the same time preparing them to become happy, productive members of society. Every policy, procedure, and expectation we put in place is aligned to our mission. Our School Based Decision Making Council meets the third Thursday of each month to review, discuss and develop policies and procedures focused on our goals. Meetings are held in the library and everyone is welcome to attend.

 

There are many ways you can become a part of the Cassidy tradition. You are always welcome to eat lunch with your child. Our PTA meets monthly and offers a variety of opportunities for you to get involved. Watch for monthly newsletters or contact Kelli Helmers, PTA president. We have a Booster Program which organizes and trains volunteers to work in a one-to-one or small group setting with students.  Jennifer Alexander and Beth Murner, Booster Coordinators, are the contacts if you would like to become a Booster. You can always check with your teachers to see how to volunteer for your child's classroom. We are so thankful to have you as a partner!

 

As a working mother of three school aged children, I know how precious time can be. I also realize how important the whole school experience is for each child. Communication is key to providing a successful experience for your child. Check backpacks each night, stay in touch with the teachers, and attend school events when possible. Feel free to contact me to discuss your child's progress. Working together we will help your child reach his/her fullest potential.
